Our strong position in Wales has allowed us to expand into England and we have continued our consistent growth despite the pandemic with a cold store network spanning across South Wales and England.
EXPERIENCED PICKER & PACKER
We are adding a permanent Picker & Packer role at our Avonmouth Cold Store to complete our team. There is opportunity to grow at a fast pace within the business for talented and enthusiastic individuals. This is a full-time post, working from Monday to Friday between 8.00am to 16:30pm (40 hours per week paid).
Quality checking
· Checking the quality of goods received and despatched, checking for damages and reporting any issues to the Site and Operations Managers.
· Checking the temperature of every pallet received and despatched.
· Where issues are discovered, take corrective actions as required (e.g. extra shrink wrapping).
· Ensuring that the receipted goods match the POD.
· Checking that the pre-picked goods for despatch are the correct goods as stated on the pick sheet.
· Reporting any mis-picks to the Site Manager and at the point of discovery.
Day to Day Duties
· Picking orders for daily despatches per depot
· Daily replenishment of stock for picking
· Assisting warehouse team with daily intake of goods and despatch and internal pallet movements.
· Maintaining warehouse cleanliness (e.g. sweeping, disposing of broken pallets).
· Handballing containers (e.g. manual handling).
· Other ad-hoc warehouse duties as required.
Skills and abilities
· Experience in a warehouse environment
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Proactive approach to problem solving
· Organised and able to prioritise workload
· Keen team player
· Counterbalance forklift truck experience (desired)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £12.50 per hour

Experience:
- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- counterbalance license or experience (preferred)
