Full Time Salford, North West England, England 25857 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

There’s every chance you’ll have eaten our food, so why not share our success and come and work for us? Bidfood is a leading wholesale food distributor and the preferred supplier for over 60,000 customers across the UK, ranging from pubs to schools, from restaurants to care homes and everything in between.

From Lands’ End to John O’Groats, whether our customers want just a teaspoon or a full range of catering supplies, we’ll supply their needs. We work as a team to provide every food option from quality ingredients to finished meals, including a number of own brand ranges as well as all the big brands and regional specialties. We believe in our food, and we know that our people are so very important in our success.

We are seeking a PI Operative to assist the Stock Team Manager in ensuring that the stock levels held at the depot are all checked within the company standards.

You will carry out full stock checks on all items within Frozen, Chilled and Ambient chambers, carrying out date checks to establish if stock is being rotated correctly. You will be responsible for fully investigating any errors found and reporting those to the Stock Team Manager.

You will check pick locations in order to ensure that products are those defined on the stock labels, highlighting goods incorrectly located.

You will need to ensure that the warehouse complies with the company Health and Safety Policy, supporting accreditation processes and complying with all verbal and written instructions in matter pertaining to Health and Safety.

To be successful in this role you will have similar experience of working within a stock control department, particularly within the fast-moving food distribution industry. You will need a detailed understanding of stock control systems, and strong analytical and problem solving skills. You will need to be a confident IT user, with excellent business administration skills.

You will be someone with good communication and organisation skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy when working to tight deadlines and under pressure.

This role covers 45 hours per week.
