Are you someone with experience of working with people with disabilities who would like to train to deliver physiotherapy?
Disability charity National Star has an exciting new opportunity for someone keen the explore the world of physiotherapy as a physiotherapy assistant.
The role will include working with young people who have complex physical and learning difficulties, with both acute and chronic presentation. As part of this diverse and interesting role you will assist students with their Physiotherapy treatments, whilst working in our state-of-the-art facilities, which are very well resourced to support the delivery of high quality therapy, including Aquatic and Rebound Therapy. We are looking for people who enjoy working with young people as well as with the wide multidisciplinary team within National Star. In addition, National Star offers the opportunity for progression in a number of ways including the Physiotherapy Apprenticeship Degree.
We are looking for someone with a flexible and adaptable attitude, who is a confident and proactive self-starter. Also possessing a keen interest in promoting the health and wellbeing of students through supporting their physical development. Ideally you will have two years previous experience of working with people with disabilities or one years’ experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant.
This is a term-time only role (39 weeks) working 44 hours a week. The role will be based at our college in Ullenwood but may also require travel to other sites in Gloucestershire, Hereford and South Wales to meet the needs of our students.
