Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering the opportunity for individuals to apply to join our Registered Allied Healthcare Professional (AHP) Apprenticeship. This year we are looking to recruit Physiotherapy Apprentices. This is a work-based course and a four year education program, working towards becoming a Registered AHP with a BSc Hons Degree. The course combines work-based and academic learning between BCHC and the University.
As an Apprentice you will be based, as a paid employee, within BCHC. Whilst you will be allocated to one specific area, you will experience working across both internal and external placements in partnership with local acute & community Trusts in the Birmingham & Solihull area to gain an appreciation of the different areas of local healthcare service and meet the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) requirements.
Ordinarily, attendance is expected one day per week at University with the remaining days of the week at the work base. You will also have some time on clinical placement within other Trusts / clinical areas.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be able to join the HCPC register as a registered AHP

- If applying as an A-Level student, your predicted grades must be at a level acceptable for the course and, if successful at inerview, any offer of employment would be conditional on you achieving the requisite grades.

Minimum academic requirements:
- Level 2 orGCSE/IGCSE maths, English language and science grades A*-C/9-4.
- Demonstration of recent, academic study at Level 3 or above,typically 3 A-levels at grade profile BBB (or predicted grades if applying in A Level year), BTECGrade profile of DDMfrom one of the following subjects: applied science, applied human biology, health and social care, sports and exercise scienceor Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health, Social Care or the Human Sciences.
