Nightingale Hammerson is a leading specialist in the care of older people, supporting over 250 Residents from the Jewish community. We have two care homes- Nightingale House in Clapham and our newly opened home, Hammerson House, Wohl Campus in East Finchley. We provide residential, nursing, dementia, respite, and palliative care.
We understand the importance of personalised care that centralises the needs of the Resident, with an on-site therapy team, which includes a dietitian, and a wealth of activities for Residents to enjoy.

The Role
As Physiotherapist you will work (across both sites) with residents from initial assessment, to forming a relationship and performing a variety of treatment options and interventions. For 37.5 hours a week you will help our residents maintain function and rehabilitate where applicable.
What will your typical day involve?
- You will provide a wide variety of physiotherapy treatment such as pain management, electrotherapy, falls prevention, and both individual and group exercises to benefit our residents.
- You will assess and provide appropriate footwear for residents, helping with mobility, balance, and providing walking aids where necessary.
- Documenting and liaising with appropriate teams to keep advice and plans up to date.
- Taking an active role in the therapy team/department, (occupational therapy, physiotherapy and moving& handling advisor). This includes team meetings, joined up working, contributions towards a safe, clean, effective working environment.

You are a State Registered Physiotherapist who has previously worked with older people.
You will be able to multi-task, completing duties promptly and in a timely manner. You will also have strong communication skills to effectively link residents, relatives, colleagues, and external agencies

Hours

Salary Scale
Starting from £18.95 per hour depending on experience
