Job description

The post-holder will hold a 12-month fixed term post working within the LTV department at RMCH. The LTV service is responsible for over 120 children and young people and are fortunate to have a transitional care unit catering for 8 Tracheostomy ventilated children awaiting stability and discharge home. We have a large MDT within our LTV service comprising of 2 consultants, discharge co-ordinators, advanced practitioner, LTV nurse educators, specialist nurses in invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and a large AHP support.

The post holder will be part of wider MDT in respiratory medicine and be on the on-call middle grade rota at RMCH. They will have the opportunity to attend transition clinics jointly run between the adult and paedaitric services at Wythenshawe sleep service, one of the largest sleep services in the country. They will also be able to be part of the national LTV advisory group chaired by Dr Stuart Wilkinson at RMCH.
