Who Our Opportunity is for:
Full time post @ 37.5 hours per week open to all applicants internal and external.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and efficient Executive Personal Assistant to provide a first class, efficient and effective service to the Executive Director(s) at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude along with previous experience of working in a demanding and challenging personal assistant/ administrative role at Executive and Board level.
You will have the ability to be flexible, possess excellent organisational, secretarial and communication skills and have previous experience minute taking at Board level meeting and have undertaken diary and inbox management. You must have the ability to proactively manage their diaries and inboxes with utmost discretion and anticpating their needs.
You will have excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, with patients and external contacts.
You will be required to produce a series of document and produce data in different mediums; therefore an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams) will be important.
The ability to effectively prioritise constantly changing workloads is a must, as is the need to act on your own initiative. You will also need to work as part of the wider Executive Administration Function to help deliver tasks that require collective effort. An understanding of the need for discretion and diplomacy in a confidential setting are essential.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.
The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services. The Trust serves the whole of the local population currently in excess of 250,000 residents which geographically covers populations in England and North Wales.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £23 (standard) or £43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £13 per year applies.
New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
