Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and creative individual with an interest in photography to join our team as a Photography Assistant. The successful candidate will work alongside our in-house photographers on location and studio shoots, gain valuable experience in a busy studio environment, and have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in commercial and advertising photography.
Responsibilities:
- Assist our in-house photographers on location and studio shoots
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization
- Assist with room-set builds
- Set up lights and cameras for shoots
- Develop technical skills by undertaking practice tests and learning from senior team members
- Work with photographers and creatives to prepare for shoots
- Manage time effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Demonstrate ambition and a willingness to expand skills and knowledge
- Display natural creative flair and passion for photography
Requirements:
- Keen interest in photography
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivation to expand skills and knowledge
Experience:
- Previous experience in a photography or creative industry is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with photography equipment and software is a plus
Education:
- Relevant college degree or coursework in photography or a related field is preferred but not required
