We are looking for an experienced Photographer to join us at LancsLive. You will curate and supply images for the newsroom, always working to the highest standards of creative photojournalism.
We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

This role is home based however due to the nature of the role, you will need to be based in Lancashire.

What will the role involve?
You will photograph live breaking news stories, features and live sport across the Lancashire area. You will work closely with journalists and picture editors to brief and curate photography plans for each story. You will go where the story is, ensuring you are first on the scene to take exclusive pictures.
You will prepare and send photographs for publication, working closely with Editors. You will arrange lighting and other equipment required for photoshoots, always being prepared for the style of shoot the story calls for. You will keep your finger on the pulse of the latest news with a keen eye for what makes a great shot. This role will involve weekend and evening working so a flexible approach is required.
Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced photographer who can shoot digital pictures and video when required. You have in-depth knowledge and experience with photography equipment, lighting and backdrops.
You have a strong passion and comprehensive understanding of regional and national news, and a high level of professionalism. You have a clear understanding of LancsLive’s photography style and ideally you have court photography experience as well as an understanding of the law surrounding this.
