Job description
A temporary opportunity has arisen for a part-time Phlebotomist to join our Nursing team at Arden Medical Centre to cover maternity leave cover. We are looking to appoint a Phlebotomist who is clinically skilled with general blood taking and can work Monday and Tuesday afternoons. The successful candidate will be confident and professional, be able to interact positively with our patients to provide a consistently high level of care.
The ideal candidate would have excellent clinical skills and be competent in all usual treatment room tasks and taking, collecting and storing samples of blood in accordance with training and procedures
Applicants must be punctual, reliable, flexible and able to multi-task. Hours of work, 9 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday afternoons) and additional hours to cover colleagues’ leave will be required.
You will have undertaken phlebotomy training and have recent experience in blood taking. You will be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills, a positive attitude and commitment to General Practice and the NHS.
