Job description

We are looking for an experienced Phlebotomist to join our progressive and innovative General Practice and Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) team in the beautiful seaside town of St Ives in Cornwall. We have an excellent nursing team providing the nursing expertise we need both for General Practice and our Minor Injuries Unit. If you have the necessary experience, drive and enthusiasm to become both part of our fantastic team we would like to hear from you.

  • GCSE English & Maths Grade C or Equivalent (Essential)
  • NVQ 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or Equivalent (Essential)
  • Aptitude to develop clinical skills and career (Essential)
  • Phlebotomy Qualification (Essential)
  • Experience of providing the following clinical duties: Phlebotomy (Essential)
  • Experience of providing the following clinical duties: Blood Pressures, Pulse, Urine Sample Processing &B12 injections (Desirable)
  • Injection Technique Training (Desirable)
  • General Practice Experience (Desirable)
  • Care Certificate (Desirable)
  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week – spread across the surgery opening hours which are 8am-8pm Monday-Friday as well as some Saturdays and Bank Holidays. Flexibility required.
  • Competitive salary: depending upon experience and qualifications.
  • Potential to progress to Health Care Assistant or start at this level.

Salary: £22,383.00-£22,816.00 per year
