Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust providing a full range of hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 500,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.
The Rotational Pharmacy Technician post will be based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
The Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.
Pharmacy service at Tunbridge Wells is highly regarded in the Trust, the Pharmacy is in a modern department complete with fully automated dispensary and excellent training facilities.

As part of our continuing development we have the following vacancy within our friendly and experienced team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly team and gain wide experience in a comprehensive range of activities:
The post will rotate through; dispensary, purchasing and distribution and clinical pharmacy services. Training will be provided to develop and become competent in skills including undertaking; medication histories, screening patients’ own medicines, patient counselling, supervisory/leadership skills, purchasing and distribution. You will also have the opportunity to work towards attaining a qualification in Accredited Checking and Medicines Optimisation Training Programme.
You should be someone who understands the importance of the Pharmacy Technician role within Pharmacy, who is passionate about Pharmacy and who understands and follows the GPhC professional standards.
