About the team
The Consumer Finance Platform implement industry leading customer journeys through engineering excellence. We’re looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to join the Credit Cards Lab Engineering Team supporting software development of a web-based Internet Banking system deployed across web, mobile and tablet.

The Cards Lab Engineering Team create software within a web-based Internet Banking system deployed across web, mobile and tablet providing functionality to allow customers to apply for credit cards, carry out balance and money transfers, add additional card holders and increase their credit limits.

You’ll collaborate with colleagues as required, building effective working relationships and will: -
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle to design, build, test, deploy and support digital systems.
  • Work hands-on to deliver the highest quality software.
  • Work in a feature team delivering exciting customer driven solutions.
  • Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to implement credit card products.
  • Propose new technologies and new ways of working to optimise software delivery.
What we need from you:
  • Strong experience of the entire software development lifecycle and experience in delivery of software.
  • Extensive experience in hands-on software engineering using a broad range of technologies including React, Redux, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Styled Components, RESTful APIs.
  • CI/CD/DevOps tooling experience e.g. GIT, Cypress, Jest, Enzyme & React Testing Library.
  • Web based application development experience.
  • Agile experience and excellent critical thinking skills
