Hours: Full-Time – 09:00-17:00, Mon-Fri (Flexibility on hours)

Pay rate: Day £23.60 (including Holiday Pay)

Are you a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician who has worked within Hospital Settings? Do you have an all-round knowledge of hospital pharmaceutical procedures?

NHS Professionals have exciting opportunities for a Pharmacist with experience to support our client trusts. You will maintain key relationships with co-workers and other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effective service.

The Churchill Hospital is a centre of excellence for cancer services and other specialties, including renal services and transplant, clinical and medical oncology, dermatology, haemophilia, chest medicine and palliative care.

The hospital, together with the nearby John Radcliffe Hospital, is a major centre for healthcare research, housing departments of Oxford University Medical School and Oxford Brookes University's School of Healthcare Studies.

It incorporates the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM) - a collaboration between the University of Oxford, the NHS and three partner companies - which is a world-class centre for clinical research on diabetes, endocrine and metabolic disorders, along with clinical treatment and education.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Have a working knowledge of the cancer computerised prescription system (ARIA) and how to add notes. 3. Ensure that all Oral chemotherapy prescriptions are dispensed in advance of patient collection where possible and noted on ARIA when given to patient.

To work with scheduled patients list each day ensuring prescriptions are dispensed in advance of patients’ treatment date and to ensure the delivery of the medications to the outpatient departments of the Oxford Cancer Centre in a timely manner.

To use the pharmacy computer system to produce dispensing labels and to issue stock and to support general dispensing.

To participate in a programme of work based training, development and appraisal as well as within the development of audit with the Cancer Pharmacy Team.

To provide comprehensive specialised technical support as part of professional staff providing the pharmaceutical service to the dispensary.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

Need to be ACT accredited; have experience within Oncology.

Knowledge of working with Cerner Millenium and ARIA is highly desirable.

Full-time candidate are ideal, hours can be flexible.

May consider Band 4 Pharmacy Technicians or Band 3 Pharmacy Assistants; dependent upon experience.
