We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at our new, purpose built, state-of-the-art-centre in Guildford which is due to open later this year.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team and contribute to the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of our centre's pharmaceutical services, with a specific focus on dispensing oral chemotherapy.
Hours: Full-time (Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours), permanent
What you’ll do:
- Provide a safe delivery of pharmaceutical services such as stock management, ordering and dispensing of oral chemotherapy within GenesisCare by working together with specialist nurses, principal pharmacists, and Head of Pharmacy.
- Perform medicine reconciliation and patient counselling
- To procure, receipt, top up and distribute medicines to all areas of the Centre in conjunction with the pharmacy team.
- Provide a dispensing service for medicines that may be required.
- Ensure accurate and timely charging.
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate regulatory, professional, and best practice frameworks.
- Be a proactive member of the Centre’s team
- Working remotely with the GenesisCare pharmacy teams
What you’ll have:
Experience and skills:
- Knowledge and use of Dispensing system
- Stock management, ordering and stocktake
- Computer skills and use of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good organisational and planning skills - able to plan and organise straightforward tasks and programmes and ensure effective control of pharmaceutical stock.
- Attention to detail – ensure accurate recording of data.
- Strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Must be registered on the General Pharmaceutical Council register.
- Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
- Medicines Management qualification.
- Recent experience of dispensing medicines and experience of medicine management in a hospital setting.
- Experience of dispensing IMP for clinical trials.
- GCP training for clinical trials.
- Basic clinical knowledge
Other requirements for this role:
- Flexibility to assist at other centres from time to time.
