Certified Pharmacy Technician

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer.

• Preservers patient confidentiality, answers phones and questions at pharmacy window.

• Assists in filling prescriptions and prepares third party insurance claims.

• Orders, receives, tags and stocks prescription drugs and over the counter supplies.

• Assists at customer service counter ringing up orders.

• Process invoices and makes accounting entries using computerized system.

• Ensures proper cleanup of pharmacy and disposal/returns of hazardous materials.

• Stock over the counter merchandise in the morning

• Completes required training to perform work duties

Required skills and certifications:

• Certified and MA licensed for Costco Pharmacy Waltham.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• State, National, NACDS technical training or Pharmacy Technician license.

• Pharmacy experience preferred.

• Must have excellent customer service skills, outgoing personality & attention to detail.

• Open availability.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekend availability

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pharmacy technician: 1 year (Preferred)
