Job description
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer.
- Preservers patient confidentiality, answers phones and questions at pharmacy window.
- Assists in filling prescriptions and prepares third party insurance claims.
- Orders, receives, tags and stocks prescription drugs and over the counter supplies.
- Assists at customer service counter ringing up orders.
- Process invoices and makes accounting entries using computerized system.
- Ensures proper cleanup of pharmacy and disposal/returns of hazardous materials.
- Stock over the counter merchandise in the morning
- Completes required training to perform work duties
Required skills and certifications:
- Certified and MA licensed for Costco Pharmacy Waltham.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- State, National, NACDS technical training or Pharmacy Technician license.
- Pharmacy experience preferred.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, outgoing personality & attention to detail.
- Open availability.
