An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pharmacy department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust at Peterborough City Hospital. We are seeking to recruit a forward thinking and motivated Pharmacy Invoice Clerk.
You will be accountable for the management and provision of a comprehensive and efficient Purchase ledger service to the Pharmacy Department, ensuring that invoices are paid in accordance with the Public Sector Payment Policy, cash flows permit and in line with financial timescales. Resolve staff and supplier’s telephone, letter and e-mail queries, including explaining reasons for delayed payment and other sensitive issues.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative with the minimum of supervision after training, and be able to work with other members of staff within the department and across the Trust, including staff from external companies.
Full training will be provided in the department.
The successful candidate will be working 22.5 hours a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).
To assist the Chief Pharmacist in providing comprehensive specialist pharmaceutical care and medicines management by the provision of safe, appropriate and effective pharmacy services within North West Anglia Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and areas supplied under Service Level Agreements, ensuring compliance with current medicines legislation.
To be responsible for the checking of documentation of goods received, checking prices charged, processing of pharmacy invoices for authorisation of payment by Finance, and pursuing outstanding invoices and credit notes.
The position is a customer-facing role requiring a strong customer service work ethic and commitment to being proactive and positive at all times
