Pharmacy counter assistant needed for a busy High St Pharmacy. We pride ourselves on providing a high quality of service to our customers. We are looking for a candidate to mirror this quality.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be fluent in English, be responsible, enthusiastic, hardworking, and self-motivated to learn, presentable and well groomed, and a team player.
They will be working to provide pharmacy clinical services to our local population and manage the day to day running of the Pharmacy at the highest standards.
Ideal candidates should have an enthusiasm for working in pharmacy to help the local population and patients feel better. You will help deliver services such as Flu vaccination, NHS campaigns, Blood pressure checks, and advising on Minor ailments.
You will receive training and support in your role at the pharmacy. Ideally experience in a pharmacy for 2 years or more would be preferable but candidates with retail experience will also be considered. Candidates who have completed the medicines counter assistant course and have experience are ideal.
Pharmacy assistants are integral in the day to day running of the pharmacy. We are looking for someone who is hard working and willing to integrate into our team and take on the responsibilities listed below.
. Giving out Bagged Prescriptions following company Standard operating procedure and guidelines to patients, ensuring attention to detail, accuracy and patient confidentiality are always maintained.
. Ensuring the Pharmacy and all consulting rooms are clean, tidy, and free of clutter.
· Managing stock in the Pharmacy OTC which will include stock control, ordering, stock replenishment and date checking. Checking off and putting deliveries away.
· Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly, and professional manner, providing our customers with a great service, making them want to visit our Pharmacy again. Serving on the till using an EPOS system,
· Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available and offering appropriate advice to customers on common ailments, symptoms, and products. This will involve understanding the customers' needs and explaining the benefits of the products in a way they understand and only selling products that are right for them.
· Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to the Standard Operating Procedures which we have within the pharmacy.
· Bringing health promotional activities and company initiatives to life, to help patient health and help them make good health and lifestyle choices.
· Carrying out all procedures accurately to protect profitability and provide high levels of services to our customers and patients.
· Keeping up to date with professional developments in pharmacy and continue to learn as the nature of pharmacy evolves.
