Job description
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will work as part of the pharmacy team and will be responsible for the provision of high quality pharmacy services. Your role will be to provide exceptional standards of customer service by:
- Taking an active role in the accurate and efficient dispensing of medicines;
- Handling prescriptions, interacting with patients and providing advice on their medicines;
- Safe sales of medicines.

- Successfully completing the dispensing assessment and accurately dispense medicines.
- Dispensing and labelling prescriptions accurately, safely and in a timely fashion.
- Maintaining accurate manual and computer records.
- Communicating with other members of the pharmacy team, customers and patients to solve problems and ensure high standards of service.
- Supporting optimal stock management including date checking.

- Working within the limits of knowledge, skills and responsibilities and making appropriate referrals to other members of the pharmacy team in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensuring the retail area is tidy and appears professional including accurate and updated price tickets.
- To contribute to the development and maintenance of a high quality and timely outpatient service for patients.
- To ensure all communication with patients, relatives, carers, prescribers, pharmacists, staff, other health care professionals is of a high standard
