Pharmacy Dispenser

The Candidate:
- Degree in Pharmacy or experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser or Technician.
- NVQ2 Dispensary Assistant Course / NVQ3 Dispensary Technician Course desirable.
- Effective communicator and good IT skills.
- Understanding of the Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
- Good communication and Management skills
- Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi or Gujrat Language is an advantage
The role and responsibilities:
- As a Pharmacy Dispenser you will be picking stock and dispensing private and NHS prescriptions.
- Communicating with patients by email and phone, solving queries and referring enquiries to the pharmacists.
- Maintaining pharmacy inventory and stock levels. Placing orders for more stock if needed.
- Preparing medicines for the team of pharmacists to dispense, preparing labels, quantities needed.
- Working alongside Royal Mail to ensure efficient dispatch of orders.
- Previous experience of working within a hospital or pharmacy setting is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided
- Understanding of the Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
- Good communication and Management skills
- Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi or Gujrat Language is an advantage
