Job description

We are after experienced delivery drivers to take on a part-time position for our company, you will be responsible for deliver to patients within the local community and carehomes

You will be required to use your own vehicle and travel mileage will be compensated.

The role of the pharmacy delivery driver is key in the service provided in local communities. The post holder will be responsible for not only handling important medicines but also guaranteeing the timely delivery of it and ensure patient care and safety is maintained.

To many of our customers you will be the face of the organisation so you will ensure you act in a professional manner and you will build strong relationships with our customers, some of whom may be vulnerable. You will be expected to always act with discretion whilst also knowing when to raise concerns with your pharmacist.

The post holder will be required to use their own vehicle. The vehicle must be road worthy with valid insurance, MOT and road tax. Mileage may be claimed.

Primary responsibilities

To ensure a positive image of the company is maintained at all time

To ensure deliveries are made to all customers on time

To ensure all customers are treated sensitively and courteously

To ensure patient confidentiality and GDPR is adhered to at all times

To ensure all prescriptions in your care are stored safely and in line with instruction

Maintain appropriate records

Ensure your vehicle is road worthy and kept in a clean and presentable manner

Drive safely, responsibly and within the law

Any other duties as requested

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 8-16 per week

Salary: £8.00-£10.00 per hour
