Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Global Account Manager located in the UK with the possibility to work remotely.
Reporting to the SVP & GM Global Services & Solutions, the Global Account Manager role will be in-charge of holding up, developing, implementing, and managing account strategies in order to provide the business with optimal quality, pricing & delivery performance, as well as P&L control for managing strategic accounts.
They will establish and maintain good strategic customer relationships in order to achieve maximum advantage for the company with the delivery of a quality product to its customers.
What a typical day looks like:
- Drive new business on the account through organic growth at current sites, expansion of existing services into new sites / regions and through the addition of new GSS services at any GSS site.
- Understand the customer’s market, trends and potential business impact as well as the customer does. Develop a network of strategic contacts within the customer, gathering information at all times which can be shared in Flex to give insight into opportunities, risks and change to market dynamics which could be relevant to GSS or any aspect of Flex’s wider business. Manage customer expectations and ensure alignment with operation and supply chain teams.
- Monitor and report the quality, frequency and efficacy of F2F relationships with the customers, seeking to always improve this key metric and to drive workshop / white-board sessions with decision-making levels at the customer.
- Work in conjunction with the wider GSS team, pulling Business Development, Solutions and Pricing resources into customer engagements as needed in the drive to expand business and in making proactive proposals. Quarterly Business Review participation as appropriate.
- Be jointly accountable with site controller, site GM and site PM to manage account profitability and opportunities for improvement. Work closely with the GSS Finance Team and G-Ops QvA team in the correction of discrepancies within “Quote vs Actuals” analysis. Drive customer cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with GSS Sites.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Completed University degree (e.g., in Business and Administration) and/or extensive experience in sales/account management.
- Excellent operations, technical, people and process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship building.
- Expert knowledge of the function as well as a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
- Detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas.
- Understanding the strategic impact of the function across sites.
- Readiness to travel internationally when needed.
