Job overview
Undertakes duties in support of the Pharmacists and other Technical Staff. Assists in the provision of a safe and effective pharmaceutical service in order to meet department and corporate objectives.
Main duties of the job
Reception duties within the department.
Receipt and storage of medications
Provide a ward stock topping up service to wards and departments
Dispensing pharmaceutical products
Contribute to 7 day service, Bank Holidays and Late Night Rotas
Undertake NVQ level 2 in Pharmaceutical Service

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ2 level or willing to undertake training
Desirable criteria
- GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential criteria
- Good verbal and written communication
- Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Awareness of the range of duties
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in hospital or community pharmacy
- Skilled in computer keyboard and applications
