Currently we have exciting opportunities for Full and Part time experienced pharmacy dispensers, or Trainee Health Care Assistants to join our well establisheed community pharmacies in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate should have experience of working in a pharmacy, or willinness to train.
All applicants will be required to possess a minimum period of one year dispensing or as a Health Care assistant,experience here in the UK, this is essential if applying for this position for obvious reasons we require someone that can process ETP, claims, end of month procedures, maintaing stocks and ensuring that all scripts are processed in a timely manner.
The range of duties is broad and varies depending on the post, but may include the following:
- taking in and handing out prescriptions
- dispensing prescriptions
- using computer systems to generate stock lists and labels
- helping to maintain stock levels
- ordering items for use within a department
- receiving, loading, unloading incoming goods from wholesalers, manufacturers and elsewhere.
- Selling over the counter medicines
- answering queries on the supply and availability of medicines,
- responding to telephone and face to face enquiries of a routine nature from patients and customers
- bringing any problems identified or queries raised to the attention of pharmacists or pharmacy technicians
- pre-packing, assembling and labelling medicines
- assisting with the manufacture of medicines
