We currently have full-time opportunities (including day shift and full shift roles)for QC Analyst’s to join an established team working within Validation or PRD in our QC department at Aptuit Oxford.

Role: QC Analyst (Shift or non-shift)

Direct report: QC Manager

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: Starting from £26,000. Dependent on experience and qualifications, plus we offer a fantastic benefits package and annual bonus.

Location: Milton Park, Oxfordshire

On a day to day basis you will be analysing samples, and performing method validation, using standard analytical techniques through established methodology. You will have the opportunity to work on varied projects using a variety of techniques, ideally utilising your experience gained in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

As part of the wider integrated team here your role is integral to ensuring that Aptuit produce work of the highest quality. Experience in carrying out the following analytical techniques is essential to this role: HPLC – (area%; assays); GC – (area%); standard pharmacopoeia methodology at an intermediate level (FTIR, NMR, Karl Fischer etc.) Experience of stability studies and method validation would be an advantage.

You will be required to assess and report data, prepare study protocols and reports, and be able to provide written documentation that is of high quality is essential to this role. Generate consistent high quality results at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry or other related discipline.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation capabilities. Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of GMP and other regulatory requirements relevant to an analytical environment required
  • Prior experience of method validation and stability studies is a distinct advantage
  • An understanding of Empower (CDS System) and the ability to use it to capture and process data
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly detail orientated with an organised approach to work
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated successful planning and organizational skills
  • Able to interact effectively and positively with all internal departments
  • Able to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable problem solving skills
  • Strong sense of accountability for the outcome
