**Position Overview:**
As a Weekend Dog Walker and Pet Carer, you will be responsible for taking our clients' furry friends on enjoyable and enriching walks during weekends. Additionally, you will provide in-home pet care, ensuring their well-being and happiness while their owners are away. This role offers the perfect blend of outdoor adventures and quality time with adorable pets.
**Responsibilities:**
- Take dogs on stimulating walks, adhering to their exercise and play needs.
- Ensure the safety and security of dogs during walks, paying attention to their behavior and surroundings.
- Provide fresh water, food, and any necessary medication during in-home pet care visits.
- Engage with pets through playtime and interactive activities to promote mental and physical stimulation.
- Clean up after pets during walks and in-home visits to maintain a clean environment.
- Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding feeding, medication, and care routines.
- Keep accurate records of each pet care visit, including any notable behavior or health changes.
**Requirements:**
- Genuine love for animals, particularly dogs, cats and rabbits and a desire to ensure their happiness and well-being.
- Previous experience in dog walking, pet care, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with patience and confidence.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong commitment to fulfilling scheduled appointments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability to work on weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
