As a PET-CT Technologist/Radiographer, you will deliver a professional and efficient service, working alongside your colleagues in our dynamic, fast-paced and newly refurbished Nottingham site, working with the latest technology on our new Siemens Vision Digital Scanner. As an integral part of our clinical team, your skills as a PET-CT Technologist/Radiographer help us to deliver on our vision to make healthcare better. What you will do:
As an InHealth PET-CT Radiographer/Technologist you will be undertaking PET-CT imaging procedures efficiently and effectively for both the public and private sectors, adhering to best practice of radiographic technique. Maintaining a high level of professionalism and technical standard of work, complying with relevant codes of practice.
What you are responsible for:
- Undertaking supervised imaging procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (IRMER 2017, IRR 2017, ARSAC)
- Maintaining professional competencies and CPD
- Running quality assurance checks on equipment, and action as appropriate
- Ensuring due regard is given to the customs, values and spiritual beliefs of patients and to ensure patients views are sought and taken into account
- Demonstrating safe, effective practice in line with the company policies and procedures
- Ensuring patient information systems are maintained with accurate and up to date information
- Reporting all incidents and complaints in line with company policy
- Adhering to the requirements of the Data Protection Act
- Ensuring the smooth flow of clinical and administrative work
- Participating in governance activities i.e. audits, personal development, and team meetings
- Monitoring essential stocks and re-order as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Complying with ISO standards in respect of information security management.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer/technologist's role in the care of patients, their visitors and carers, and to colleagues
- Safety awareness skills utilising imaging equipment
- The ability to demonstrate an appreciation of patient care and confidentiality
- Understanding of the implications of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Principles and GDPR
- Carried out infection control training, manual handling and patient transfer training, health and safety awareness training, and basic life support training
- Computer literacy, with accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- A specific interest in training and developing their PET-CT skills and those of others
- A willingness to participate in the individual performance appraisal review system
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
- Flexibility to work the shifts required
- Willingness to undertake National travel to attend training courses
You should apply if you have experience:
- BSc Radiography or BSc Nuclear Medicine or equivalent
- Previous experience within PET-CT or Nuclear Medicine is essential.
