DP/PD52, Carer / Personal Assistant Culcheth,

Rate of pay: £10.90 per hour paid 4 weekly

Location: Culcheth, Warrington

PLEASE NOTE: This role cannot assist with visa applications or any kind of sponsorship. The successful applicant for this position will be employed by an individual person, Warrington Disability Partnership will not be the employer.

There are 18 hours available each week and are as follows:

Day hours will be 9am to 6pm on a Thursday and Friday.

Position is available through the Direct Payments scheme. Payroll, admin and contracts through Warrington Disability Partnership. Rate of pay and number of hours set by Warrington Borough Council.

You will be joining a personal assistant/carer to support a family , all with care needs and different health conditions, to live independently.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Meal preparation (including tidying, loading dishwasher and washing up)

· Household chores including cleaning, laundry, emptying bins & putting bins out/bringing and putting shopping away.

· Personal hygiene and dressing (adult male)

· Help with medication (including administering, prompting and collection from pharmacy when necessary)

· Prompting and encouragement to participate/perform tasks or activities, go out, etc.

· Driving and accompanying to medical appointments

Driving licence essential (and above age 21 for use of employer's [manual] vehicle during work hours only), this is due to insurance requirements of the Motability Scheme. You must have your own transport to work.

There will be the need to help with outside of regular hours eg helping with overnight trips, there will be plenty of notice before hand

Experience is not necessary, but you must be willing to learn and listen, follow care plans, follow written and verbal instructions/requests, be sensitive/responsive to fluctuating health conditions/needs.

The position is subject to a full DBS, application form (obtained through Warrington Disability Partnership) and production of driving licence.

The employer cannot accommodate school-hours only, self-employment/cash in-hand, and different rates of pay.
