About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Fitness Manager to join the YMCA Club Management team in Central London. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the gym, class studios and the pool.

The job responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of Health and Fitness Advisors
  • Creating and maintaining a compelling fitness timetable for members
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance in all areas of responsibility
  • Acting as a Duty Manager when required
  • Ensuring that gym and pool equipment is well maintained

About You

So are you…

  • Able to lead and inspire a team of fitness professionals and staff members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment?
  • A strong communicator who can effectively convey information, provide feedback and engage with members, staff and stakeholders?
  • An experienced Gym Manager with a solid understanding of the fitness industry?
  • Organised and with good business acumen, equipped to manage budgets, analyse financial reports, and make strategic decisions accordingly?
  • Adaptable and strive to always deliver an exceptional customer experience?

To be successful in this role you will have to demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 2 years relevant management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Delivery of excellent customer service
  • Strong leadership
  • Adaptable

You will also have the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor (essential)
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer (desirable)
  • NPLQ Lifeguarding (desirable)
  • Pool Plant Operator Certificate (desirable)
