Job description

Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker required to assist a person with communication based Autism living in the Blantyre area.

You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community including participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:

· Walking, Cycling, and assisting with participation in these physical activities

· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.

Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a Dog

Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)

Recruiting for one position

Guaranteed permanent position of 16.5 hours per week

Days and times: very flexible to suit candidate and can be discussed at interview

Hourly rate:

£10.50 per hour
