I am a female with Cerebral Palsy Spastic Quadriplegia which effects all four limbs, and i am wheelchair dependent. I have a Learning Disability and a Visual Impairment. I use an electric wheelchair and a manual wheelchair for outside, i need support with transferring.
I require time to process information, due to my learning disability, therefore the PA needs to be patient.
I enjoy walking in parks and at nature reserves. I also spend time at the cinema, swimming and i enjoy gardening.
Please note i have pet dogs.
Summary of Duties
To provide support in all aspects of daily living.
Personal care,
Preparing meals and supervision at mealtimes,
Domestic tasks,
In addition to my needs to enable me to enjoy a good quality of life my personal assistant will support me to take trips out, to go swimming or on walks.
They will also be required to spend some time supporting me in the garden.
I require support with managing my money for the day center activities.
The Person They Are Looking For

The person I am looking for will be trustworthy, reliable, pro-active, outgoing, and friendly. They will also have a good sense of humor and a flexible approach.
Car owner and driver essential (mileage allowance met by employer).
A DBS check will be required.
The Times Required
These shifts are days only on a Rota system. With some weekend work. Details will be discussed at interview.
