Diverse Minds. Go further with bold new opportunities Collaborate with diverse minds

Collaborate in an inclusive environment, a place full of bold new opportunities. And in return… we’re looking for people who are open and respectful, ambitious and driven. Ours is an environment where we work seamlessly and inclusively together, where all doors are open and everyone is encouraged to speak up.

Are you an experienced executive administrative professional that is energized by working in a fast-paced global environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities? We are looking for an exceptional administrative professional to join the Late Respiratory and Immunology team in BioPharma R&D.

AstraZeneca is a global, science-led, patient-focused biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development, and commercialization of prescription medicines for some of the world’s most serious diseases. But we’re more than one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

Building on a 50-year heritage in respiratory care, our ambition is to transform the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by driving earlier, biology-led treatment, eliminating preventable asthma attacks, and removing COPD as a top-three leading cause of death. With common pathways and underlying disease drivers across respiratory and immunology, we are following the science from chronic lung diseases to immune-driven diseases. Our growing presence in immunology is focused on five mid- to late-stage franchises with multi-disease potential in rheumatology (including systemic lupus erythematosus), dermatology, gastroenterology and systemic eosinophilic-driven diseases. Our ambition in immunology is to achieve disease control and ultimately clinical remission in targeted immune-driven diseases.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Working globally across different time zones, you will proactively provide exceptional administrative support to the senior vice president in a dynamic, fast-paced and exciting area within BioPharma R&D. This will require agility, creativity, collaboration prioritisation and real-time problem-solving as you work in close partnership with fellow administrative peers and key stakeholders. A high-level of professionalism and discretion will be essential as you will represent the SVP in communication and engagements with leaders and external parties. Attention to detail, organisation and resilience will be key as you will handle complicated and dynamic meeting scheduling and logistics, travel arrangements, coordination of governance forums, support leadership team events, and maintain documents/systems. You will work in partnership with the Business Planning and Operations team to ensure smooth operations of organizational activities and implementation of best practices.

With a growth mindset, you will work in close collaboration with your peers across R&I and BioPharma R&D to share and adopt best practices, drive continuous improvement of key business processes, and proactively identify opportunities for simplification and innovation.

This is a full-time position based in Cambridge, UK.
