Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to a national boutique PR agency headed by a well-known known industry experts with 30+ years experience, working with national media channels including daily news outlets and TV channels. You would be working as a personal assistant to the Managing Director. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the dynamic operations of our agency while developing essential skills to thrive in the PR industry. Working both independently and collaboratively, you will contribute to the efficiency and success of the agency while honing the key attributes necessary for your career progression within the PR industry.

Responsibilities: Your role as a Business Administration Apprentice will encompass a range of tasks critical to our PR agency's success, including (but not limited to):

  • Assist with setting up press trips for UK clients, including providing fact boxes and images to writers after press trips and ensuring press trip tables for each client are kept up to date.
  • Issue press releases using the Roxhill media database and create and maintain media lists on Roxhill.
  • Assist with setting up reader offers and promotions with media and brands and liaise with competition winners to arrange their prize-winning breaks.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of a PR campaign, collating press cuttings and sending these through daily to clients. Ensure excel sheets with media reach and value are kept up to date.
  • Produce materials for client and journalist meetings.
  • Draft monthly activity reports using Releasd.
  • Create power point presentations.
  • Attend client meetings on zoom and write up contact reports for them.
  • Maintain client photo libraries.
  • Assist with new business proposals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • English and maths GCSEs at grade C (or equivalent) or above.
  • Qualification or keen interest in marketing, communications, or media preferred but not essential.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience using Google Docs

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
