The opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to join the Leicester Diabetes Centre Team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
We are looking for a highly motivated, hard-working, and enthusiastic candidate to join us to provide a high standard of clerical and administrative duties to a very busy research department.
This post based at the Leicester General Hospital. Travel may be required between sites within the Trust if and when required.

The Post holder will support the Assistant Director of Operations at LDC and Senior finance lead with all administrative tasks related to that role.
The Diabetes Research Department is a busy unit, undertaking a wide range of commercial and non-commercial research projects which aims to improve diabetes care through the promotion and development of research excellence.
Duties will include manage and scrutinise all incoming and outgoing correspondence, maintaining diaries, organising high-level internal / external meetings and minute taking. Assist and support in researching and preparing academic or other papers. Other duties include HR tasks, liaising with staff outside the department, filing, photocopying, answering telephone queries, teleconferences, ordering and general administrative duties. Raising invoices and purchase order.
The post holder will liaise with all grades of staff in a multi-disciplinary department; therefore, the ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and effectively with a broad range of people skills, especially on the telephone, is essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent keyboard skills, be advanced at being able to use a range of Microsoft Office applications, can manage their own time and prioritise their own workload with a willingness to develop their skills. Organisational skills and the ability to work both on your own and as part of a team are essential. This post requires flexibility and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
