About me
I am an 8-year-old boy who is curious about the world, imaginative with creative ideas and a sense of humour and who loves a pun.
I need time to process things at times and may need patience, understanding and a calm approach
I do not always fully understand social interaction and may need support in understanding specific events/communication which may arise. I find it challenging to leave the home at times due to anxiety.
Hours and rate of pay
4 hours a week - To include weekend working
£13.95 Per Hour
The post will include 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro-rata)
Location
Hemel Hempstead
DBS/Checks
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required and a full valid UK driving license.
Right to Work and references will be needed.
Training
Mandatory training for Personal Assistants (Children)

What you would be doing…
The PA would be supporting DP Holder in accessing the community, engaging in activities of interest to reduce social isolation, help him with his anxiety/panic through graded exposure while having fun.
We are looking for someone to be open and willing to invest time in developing a positive rapport with child. Support with practical tasks using visual reminders e.g. remembering his coat, re-focusing on task/activity as needed, explanation/instructions if doing something new- checking understood safety instructions of an activity for example. Emotional support in accessing toileting facilities (when out/about), verbal prompts at times to eat/maintain fluids (where appropriate).

The person I would like…
We are looking for a fun, energetic, nurturing person with a sense of humour.
A PA who is able to drive and has access to a car would be beneficial. They would require business insurance. Or someone who is happy to use public transport if needed (if appropriate).
