We help a wide variety of people to take control over their care at home funded by Personal Budgets, Personal Health Budgets, Individual Service Funds, Integrated Personal Commissioning, Direct Payment or their own private funding.

You will:
- Adhere to the support plan designed by me and approved by HomeCareDirect. This will include a wide variety of duties in my home and in the community which will enable me to live as independently as possible and in the manner in which I wish to live.
- Enable me to live a full and active life as much as possible. Encourage me to identify a variety of social and leisure activities that I would like to do. Assist in the planning and organising of these activities, ensuring I am as involved as possible.
About you and our requirements:
- You must be committed to providing assistance with all duties to the highest possible standard
- You will be required to show sensitivity and consideration when working with our client
- You are expected to be respectful of our client’s privacy and dignity
- Enthusiasm for assisting our client to live their life to the full, as independently as possible
- Non-smokers are preferred
It is a requirement to:
- Complete a daily record of work in HomeCareDirect log books so that accurate and reliable information is available to HomeCareDirect about our client
- Attend supervision sessions with a HomeCareDirect representative so you can be assessed as being safe to perform tasks in which you have been trained
- Attend appraisal sessions with a HomeCareDirect representative so that feedback can be provided and any issues raised and discussed. Career progression and further training opportunities for personal assistants will also be discussed here
- Comply with relevant legislation and HomeCareDirect operational policies and procedures
Drivers are preferred but this is not essential.
This post is exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1 - there is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit female support workers only.
An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense met by HomeCareDirect)
