If you thrive on working in a fast paced and varied environment where no two days are the same, we may have just the role for you. We are wishing to recruit a Personal Assistant to support our Head of Schools to help them manage their varied and demanding schedule in leading and supporting the schools within the Trust.

You will work closely with others within and outside of the Trust to ensure delivery dates are met, meetings are organised and provide administrative support as necessary for such things as setting agendas, recording minutes, and providing presentation materials or reports. You will also have a significant input into supporting our HR processes. You will be part of a wider team of administrators and assistants within the organisation and will need to help coordinate the priorities for the senior leadership team within the Trust. You will need to be extremely personable and have excellent communication skills both on the telephone and face to face. We want someone who will bring organisation skills to the role as well as having a liking for accuracy, planning, analysis, and reporting. It is essential that the postholders have excellent and demonstrable competency in the use of IT, specifically in the use of Microsoft365 including up-to-date experience in the use of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, OneNote, and Excel. You must have a great work ethic and a “get the job done” attitude. Some experience of fulfilling HR processes would be advantageous.

The role is a permanent role (Exeter based), 40 weeks (term time, plus availability for our 5 non-pupil days and 5 days school holiday working). 8.30am to 5.00pm with a 30-minute lunch break. The salary is £23,350 per annum but note that the actual salary for 40 weeks is £21,800 per annum.

You will have access to the Local Government pension scheme, a health scheme, a cycle to work scheme and subsidised meals in our staff café with food cooked and served by our own chefs. Successful candidates will be provided with state-of-the-art IT equipment to help them fulfil their duties and we support all staff with an investment in their professional development through training and a good performance management process, where a bonus is payable to those who achieve highly.

We look forward to receiving your application and hopefully meeting you as part of the recruitment process.
