The Role
The role is critical to the success of the business, designing end-to-end processes that optimize efficiency while controlling costs. You will become involved in everything from the physical to the systemic.
Main Duties and Responsibilites
Define, design, document, and implement strong processes, controls, and quality systems in response to new business opportunities.
Drive systemic process changes that would improve quality, increase capabilities, improve efficiencies, and reduce processing costs.
Collaborate and communicate with, internal functions and external sub-contractors regarding processes, recording and reporting issues, and providing recommendations for problem resolution where appropriate.
Responsible for the correct and efficient use of Lean Tools and Techniques. (A3’s, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis etc.)
Support and drive continuous improvements through analysing manufacturing data to drive effective conclusion.
Support the business in its strategic outcomes in terms of revenue generation, growth, and sustainability.
Qualifications/Education
- Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/foundation degree or other national equivalent)
- General awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools relevant to the business
- Attainment of a Six Sigma belt; Black or Green desired
