The team responsible for building the key recommendation system of Apple Music is looking for a passionate summer intern. We are a group of friendly international engineers and researchers who share a real love for engineering, system design, machine learning and music. Our mission is to connect artists and music lovers! We research, design and build the next generation of recommendation and playlisting services. As a member of the team, your task will be to work on some of the most ambitious technical problems and help us build new ML solutions that can impact future Apple products.
Key Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of Engineering and System Design
- Proven knowledge of Java (or other Object Oriented Languages). Scala a plus.
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning Principles
- Ability to take on difficult problems with innovative and maintainable solutions
Description
In this role you will apply your engineering and system design skills to work on challenging and meaningful problems in machine learning engineering. These range from helping us to better understand the users taste to improving the audio content-based analysis of our catalogue. You'll work on one of the most exciting problems in industry-scale machine learning, with state of the art resources at Apple, including huge compute grids, tens of millions of users, and massive quantities of data. Based at our new office in Battersea, you will also occasionally collaborate with other teams at Apple in the US. If you have a passion for Software Engineering as well as ML, this might just be the internship for you!
Education & Experience
Enrolled in a degree (preferably masters) in computer science or related field. This is a summer internship.
