Job introduction

We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team. We are the performance management team, responsible for contract performance and compliance reporting, project based change management support, as well as producing processes, procedures, protocols and strategies to support the work of the Housing Investment & Asset Management Service (HIAM).

HIAM is responsible for the management of and investment to all Brighton & Hove City Council's housing stock. We work collaboratively with other housing departments to ensure compliance and investment in our housing, to meet the needs of the residents and leaseholders.

This role has many opportunities for learning and development, within the organisation and through learning pathways. Our team is highly experienced and supportive, we have culture of sharing skills and expertise across the team.

About the role

The post holder will responsible for ensuring all contract performance is on a continuous development arc, and ensure service delivery is completely transparent and auditable, and meets all legislative requirements, as well as council standing orders and financial regulations.

They will be the lead officer in supporting Project Managers in ensuring their contracts performance is viably managed operationally, and in line with the specific requirements of the contract.

The post holder will support the Business & Performance Team in working with all stakeholders to develop and produce, review and implement procedures and policies for the team in conjunction with the council’s standing orders, risk assessments, team plans, compliance, and other governance requirements.

All team members are expected to come to the office at least 3 days per week, or more if the work requires attendance. This enables us to ensure good face to face communication with other teams throughout the service.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
