Overview:
The Performance Media team sits within our Marketing department and is responsible for driving forward the Paid Media Strategy for Boots UK, covering performance marketing channels such as PPC, Affiliates, Display and Paid Social - we’re looking for a new Performance Media Executive to join our award-winning Performance Media team to work across our multiple Performance Media channels.
You’ll support the day to day activation of Performance Media channels, whilst ensuring all promotions and offers reach the right customer at the right time. You’ll work in close proximity with key internal stakeholders, such as Performance Channel Specialists, eCommerce and Marketing teams.
You’ll also have exposure to working with our Agency partners and external advertising partners such as Google, Meta and TikTok. Performance Media brings an obsession with driving incremental growth – you’ll be performance-focused, with a head for numbers and data – combined with a creative approach to problem solving.
About the role:
Working closely with the Performance Media Assistant and Performance Media Specialists, you will play a pivotal role in surfacing key, actionable insight from our advertising platforms – to fuel growth opportunities across multiple channels.
Responsible for the co-ownership of the Performance Media promotional plan, so that our very best offers reach the right customer at the right time. You’ll co-own this process with a Performance Media Assistant – but will drive cross-channel Performance Marketing support across Paid Search, Paid Social and Display and Video channels.

Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll co-manage the promotional plan which takes promotions from the .com side of the business, and into performance marketing channels – ensuring speed and accuracy throughout and supporting the Performance Marketing Assistant where necessary.
- You’ll drive direct incremental business growth by fueling our Performance Media Specialists with high-quality, actionable insights for key decision making.
- You’ll play an active role in key strategic projects to level up the effectiveness of our Performance Marketing channels, working in partnership with our key advertising partners and agencies.
- You’ll learn practical, hands-on experience as we look to upskill you for the future to become a channel Specialist in a chosen discipline – you could learn how to set up and activate Paid Search, Paid Social or Display as part of a structured learning programme.
- You’ll act as a key conduit and point of contact for our .com/ecommerce function through to Performance Media – you’ll be the one who knows the promotional plan inside out, but more importantly, what works and what doesn’t – so we’re constantly optimising performance.
- You’ll pro-actively monitor competitor activity and movements – surfacing key market, health & beauty insight to support investment decision making.
- Support in billing and budgeting processes to ensure all channels are accurately recording and reconciling spend as accurately as possible.
About you:
- A performance-driven growth mindset, keen to make a huge difference across the UK’s biggest healthcare retailer.
- Experience with some Digital Marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta Ads to name a few.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to proactively problem solve.
- A passion and energy for the world of Digital Marketing with a hunger for developing your knowledge and career in one of the most fast paced industries.
