Video Editor (Full-Time)

Location: Split between London and remote working from home.

Hello! First things first, who are we? We’re Social Bull Media. We are a social-first, video production agency. We are content creators, and we come from a production background. We specialise in creating video content for sports and entertainment fans, which is seen by millions of people across social media.

What is our approach to creating social videos? We commit to our storytelling philosophy, which is, to tell stories that are relatable, memorable and shareable. We Create Lasting Impressions. Our showreel is versatile - we produce podcasts, live streams, YouTube shows, TikTok campaigns, challenge videos, Premier League player celebrations, music festivals, album launches, pre-game content, tourism promotions and more!

Our small team is growing, and we're looking for someone who enjoys being creative in the engine room - the edit suite. We appreciate and value production, and we’re looking to share our knowledge with an experienced video editor who has a passion for all things social media.

What will you be doing? There’s an enormous variety of projects, and no two weeks are the same. We create weekly videos for two YouTube channels - Stephen Hendry’s Cue Tips and Tubes & Ange Golf Life. As stated, we have a huge variety of projects, both commercial and editorial, and our clients range from rights holders, brands, media agencies and personalities. You will be an essential part of editing and delivering commercial briefs for social platforms.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience delivering video content for a sports organisation, a media agency, or similar.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud video editing software - After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Enthusiasm to learn new skills.
  • Strong ability to create motion graphics for a variety of uses.
  • Proficient in colour grading, audio mixing and delivering multiple versions of one video.
  • Understanding specific social platforms’ deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Creative thinker, with an interest in digital marketing and media.
  • Happy to work both within a team and independently.
  • Ability to organise and work across multiple projects.
  • Solid understanding of cameras and recording formats.
  • Able to receive feedback and action efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
  • Work with the team to respond to briefs and help bring concepts with creative video edits.

Hard skills:

  • You’re proactive and have the ability to anticipate the needs of every edit.
  • You are self-motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented. You find and solve problems within the workflow of each project.
  • You are committed to meeting deadlines.

Exciting stuff:

  • We are building our yearly sports calendar: We will go to the events, and experience everything the sport has to offer as a Social Bull team, with the aim of creating content at the same time. Potential events: Six Nations, Snooker World Championship, Liv Golf, NFL London, Darts, Wimbledon, London Lions, F1 Silverstone, Championship playoff game, T20, The Ashes, Crossfit, Premier League, Influencer Boxing, Rock Climbing, Surfing, Skateboarding and Break Dancing.
  • Extended company Christmas break. This is separate from your 20 days of annual leave.

It’s a plus:

  • Knowledge of major social media platforms and trends.
  • Experience editing TikTok videos in the app.
  • Ability to create eye-catching thumbnails.
  • Experience filming with Sony and Blackmagic cameras.
  • Knowledge of AR and other emerging technologies.
  • Passionate about sports and social media.

Starting Salary: £30-£36K per annum (depending on experience).
