We have an exciting opportunity for a Performance Manager to join our growing People Directorate at British Airways. Responsible for driving the performance agenda, you will establish and maintain close working relationships with People Business Partners to ensure managers are provided with timely strategic advice for performance management and act as a subject matter expert to the business.

Working collaboratively with our learning and People teams, this role will also be a key stakeholder for providing support in the design, implementation and management of effective colleague development and talent management initiatives.

Demonstrating curiosity and a passion for learning, you will be externally referenced and benchmarked in everything you propose to the wider business.

Duties will include –

  • Ensuring appropriate strategies, policies and procedures are developed, approved and communicated to the relevant stakeholders which supports an effective Performance Management system.
  • Overseeing and managing all activities related to the performance management cycle and managing all communication to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to the business whilst providing thought leadership and advice to People Business Partners.
  • Implementing processes for tracking progression from goal setting, mid-year reviews and end of year evaluations that support individual, team and organisational performance and which ensure rigour and objectivity is built into our performance system.
  • Preparing and presenting reports detailing the status of Performance Management so that informed and data driven decisions may be taken on behalf of the People department.

Experience of working in an HR environment in a complex operational organisation and leading Performance Management frameworks and projects are essential for this role.

Our Corporate and Support roles come with big potential to make your mark on our business. The airline industry changes so fast that we’re constantly evolving and finding new ways to impress customers and get ahead of our competitors. If you’re an innovator and brave and bold thinker, you will be in your element at British Airways.
