LIBRARIAN / LRC COORDINATOR
Grade 5 Points 7-8
40 hours per week, term time only + 1 week
(starting at £20,646)

We are a popular 11 16 mixed comprehensive school and are vastly oversubscribed. We are looking for someone suitably experienced to join our Support Staff.
The LRC Coordinator/Librarian will be based in our Learning Resources Centre and will oversee the day to day running of this space. They will also assist in promoting a positive reading culture around the school and working with relevant colleagues to support whole school literacy policies.
The role will also involve the delivery of Reading Matters lessons to Key Stage 3 English classes; to promote the use of the LRC and encourage a love of reading in students. The successful candidate will bring relevant experience, be keen to work with young people and have some new/innovate ideas of how to engage students in books and a culture of reading in the 21st Century.
The role is required for 5 days per week, working 8am- 4.30pm daily. Applicants should:
Be creative and keen to inspire and engage with young people
Have a passion for reading and literacy
Work well independently and as part of a team
Be well organised, able to prioritise workload and proficient in using IT/technology
Library and/or teaching experience an advantage
