About the role
This exciting position will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the Council’s operational and strategic outcomes using a wealth of available data. In this role, you’ll analyse and interpret data and information from a variety of sources to measure performance and drive efficiency savings.
In addition you will carry out and evaluate research, model scenarios and present outcomes to various stakeholders with a particular focus on our anti-poverty strategy, which includes development of our social resilience (poverty) dashboard, a key element in supporting this work. You’ll work closely with senior managers and alongside our IT provider and the council’s digital team.

About you
You will be a self-motivated team player with the ability to take the initiative to help drive forward positive changes to the service. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role.
You will also have excellent numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail. With a relevant degree or experience of working in a similar field for a minimum of 2 years you will also have sufficient knowledge of common data manipulation tools such as MS Access and Excel, as well as other reporting tools such as Power BI and SQL.
