Job description
We’ve been in Britain’s homes for over 200 years. But at British Gas, we’ve never been more excited about the future.
Right now, we’re at a pivotal moment. As well as leading our customers through a once-in-a-generation cost of living crisis, we’ve got big plans to get our homes closer to Net Zero.
That’s why we need a brilliant Planning Performance Analyst to help us get to where we’re going. You’ll bring bags of energy, know-how and passion to our family of door-opening brands, including British Gas and Hive. And you’ll join a team who are just as focused delivering on fantastic results as you are.
In this role you will be working closely with the Short-Term Planning, Demand Management and Customer Delivery teams. You will have the opportunity to work across business units (Gas Service & Repair, Electrical Services, Smart & Boiler Installations) but will primarily be focused on Electrical Services.
Your role will cover the Exec and Planning Leadership Team Level reporting required to run the business, as well as forward-looking (outlook) and backward-looking (diagnostic) performance reporting for the individual Customer Delivery and Field teams.
Key Accountabilities:
- Creating the performance narrative for Customer Delivery (900 FTE); assessing performance against chosen target metrics to support leadership insight and decision-making, based on actual performance.
- Measuring and embedding the glide metric principles.
- Working with the Short-Term Planning team to roll out the insight tools to Customer Delivery teams and supporting embedment.
- Establishing effective performance rhythms across Customer Delivery and interfaces with the Field performance and operation teams.
- Identifying areas that appear to not be following set parameters or are configured incorrectly, defined by glide model or other relevant standard, and working with the relevant teams to fix
- Performing deep dive diagnostics into performance issues to identify root cause, potential solutions, and then working with Field / Customer Delivery colleagues to implement solutions.
- Enhancing effectiveness of the Customer Delivery function via targeted interventions in identified areas of poor performance.
- Providing support for interim/short notice insight reporting ahead of MI.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally you will have extensive experience working with data specifically in excel and power BI, with the ability to draw out insight and support translation of insight into action by relevant stakeholders. Ideally you will have experience presenting data suitable for Exec Level; knowledge of the P&D (Customer Delivery) operation, processes and systems would be beneficial.
In this role, we are happy for you to work flexibly but will need you to be open to travelling on a regular basis.
