An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional, with project management experience ready for their next step in their career. Working in the People Quality and Projects Team the successful person will take a lead role in taking forward the People Directorate strategic objectives, working closely with the Head of Workforce Planning, Quality and Projects.

The post holder will use a framework to ensure projects are well planned, efficiently implemented and pre-determined benefits are realised. They will require the ability to facilitate and coordinate the efforts of project team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The post holder will be able to define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its lifecycle to deliver overarching benefits.

This will include assisting in the formulation, development and implementation of Trust wide People policies, practices and processes to support the delivery of the People Plan, in accordance with the Trust corporate strategy strategic aims.

The post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of service improvements, professional standards, KPIs and quality assurance in human resource management practice.

They will lead and support specific issues and areas of work, for example, policy development, employment legislation and the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda. This includes the submission of required returns and templates in line with relevant regulations (for example WRES, WDES, Gender Pay Gap, EDS) and ultimate achievement of any actions resulting from such submissions.

The postholder will lead the internal quality programme of monitoring practice against policy and process in line with necessary requirements and ensure appropriate actions are put in place to improve and opportunity for learning lessons to be made.

Support the Head of Workforce Planning, Quality and Projects in the development, implementation and monitoring of agreed People projects, new initiatives and working practices from a quality perspective.

Support and facilitate the delivery of projects using a framework to ensure they are well planned, efficiently implemented and predetermined benefits are realised to generate project specific reports at agreed time points, in the project’s lifecycle.

Respond to tight deadlines whilst managing conflicting priorities.

Identify appropriate services to support with planning, developing and evaluating methods for gathering complex analyses and interpretations to review relevant data.

Ensure project deliverables are met by the project team and that these are aligned to the Trust’s strategic aims.

Responsible for tracking/monitoring of allocated project with an understanding of associated risks and initiating mitigating actions where appropriate.

Support with the co-ordination, completion and submission of all workforce returns required by external organisations.

Ensure compliance with current employment law and assist with the identification, planning and preparation for compliance with future changes and new legislation.

Assist in the formulation, implementation and development of People directorate priorities to underpin and facilitate delivery of corporate strategy and business plans.

Assist on matters of compliance with NHS standards and People Directorate targets.
