As a P&O / HR apprentice undertaking this course you will provide HR advise with a HR team across. This is an excellent way to further your career within HR or a starting platform into a new career working with professional HR experts in a global organization. You will gain valuable work experience, on the job training whilst working toward an industry recognized CIPD recognized qualification.
What you’ll be doing
This role involves providing first level HR advice to UK employees and managers. You will be knowledgeable of company policies and procedures, you will act as a first point of contact for HR administration, and you will advise and guidance on onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and employee relation issues.
You will have access to confidential information - Discretion and judgement is very important in this role. You may make contacts with individuals both inside and outside the company relaying information that is highly critical or confidential.
You collaborate closely with HR Operations to ensure all Workday HR information is correct for all UK employees. Further you ensure HR data and information is handled and stored in accordance with Data Protection legislation
You maintain and update all personnel files, in line with Company process, policies and current legislation
You work with UK Employee Experience Manager and HR team on improving and updating UK HR Intranet
You prepare employee letters, contract of employment, including amendment to contracts, completes references and other requests from third parties such as HMRC
You suggest and implement improvements to processes
You will be responsible for the purchase order process for HR team, including raising requisitions and dealing with invoices, ensuring the appropriate approvals have been received
Ad-hoc co-ordination of HR projects will also be part of your responsibilities

Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal with a high level of situational sensitivity
A basic understand of what Human Resources is and able to demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in HR
Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload
Commitment to personal development and improvement

Must be flexible and an excellent teammate
Good understanding of Microsoft Office
Experience of working in a HR Advisor/Administration role is a plus
Experiences with relevant employment legislation is a nice to have
Experience of using Workday would be extraordinary, but is not a must-have
