Contract: Permanent, Full Time (Part time, 0.8 FTE over 4 days will be considered for the right candidate)

Salary: £41,196 - £43,236 with excellent benefits

Location: London, UK

Hybrid Working: A minimum of 40% of working time is spent face to face, either in London office, or as a result of external engagement or travel for WaterAid. About the Team:
The WaterAid Analytics team is focused on providing intuitive reporting and insightful analysis across WaterAid. The role reports to the Analytics Manager and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Employee Experience Director in the People and Organisational Development Team (POD).

About the Role:
As our new People Data Analyst you will work across the Global People function to bring discipline and expertise to the management and use of our global People data. This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues around the world to assess key People challenges faced by the organisation and design analytical solutions. These solutions will enhance our ability to generate insight for data-led decision making as part of our drive to enhance employee experience and high engagement at WaterAid.

Working with the People & Organisational Development Directorate (POD) you will design, develop and validate key performance indictors (KPIs), reports and dashboards, ensuring that this is aligned to the delivery of our 5 year People and Culture Strategy and annual plans. As well as this, you will ensure that the relevant stakeholders have access to the right information, at the right time.

You will build and manage relationships in an account management capacity with POD teams and across the organisation, in order to identify and effectively support their analysis and reporting needs. You will also participate in, and where appropriate, project manage analysis related projects (e.g. Salary Review, recruitment analysis). To apply a structured project management methodology in order to achieve project deliverables within budget and on time.

You'll also:

  • Enable the People Function and our leaders to fully utilise the data that is available to them, creating understanding and insight.
  • Enable leaders to utilise our Global Employee Engagement survey results in order to drive data into action, creating people plans and shifts in culture and ways of working.
  • Enable and unlock data and insight to inform our key People analysis priority areas, in particular employer brand, talent acquisition and management, diversity and inclusion and workforce planning.
  • Create new reporting models which combine and summarise data from multiple sources using Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Work with teams across the organisation to determine functional requirements and dependencies which will be used to inform the development of the required data warehouse model.
  • In partnership with the Global People Place Administrator shape the requirements needed from our internal People System 'PeoplePlace' (Salesforce based) to ensure data is captured effectively.
  • Provide training and continuous support to all end users of the BI platform (Power BI).

About You:

  • Self-motivated, well organised with the ability to initiate, implement and complete tasks to a high standard.
  • Numerate, analytical and methodical with an aptitude for problem solving and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to gather and analyse complex or a large amount of information, extract key themes and present as meaningful management information to support decision making.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English to communicate verbally and produce high quality and accurate correspondence, reports and documents.
  • Ability to manipulate data using SQL coding skills.
  • Strong data visualisation skills - ability to simplify complex information and present trends and key performance indicators for decision makers, particularly with PowerBI.

Although not essential, we would also prefer you to have:

  • Experience working in a busy, international People/HR team and working in a matrix structure.
  • Experience with R or Python or other statistical packages.
  • Ability to speak and write in French, Portuguese or Spanish would be an advantage.
  • Experience of analysing and designing surveys.
  • Experience of designing surveys
