Human Resources lead the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual for this exciting role as People Capability Specialist.

This role will work as part of a small team aligned to our Global Banking & Markets business, supporting the Head of People Capability, understanding the learning and talent development requirements, and managing the strategy for their client groups.

Key requirements of this role are:

  • Aligns to the insight from Workforce Strategy and Insights team on skills and capability priorities as part of a “build, buy borrow” approach
  • Works with others to architect and oversea execution of learning and talent development solutions
  • Marry business needs with development solution and engagement plans that support the strategic people plan.
  • Supports the development and articulation of the people plan providing input based on the talent requirements, skills development needs, and succession planning approach
  • Develops and maintains the required capability profile (skills and talent) in line with talent demand and supply and changing business strategy
  • Maintains the succession plans for identified critical roles, and consults with HR and business leaders to ensure that related development plans are robust and executed
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Deep technical subject matter expertise in learning, skills and talent development including external trends and developments is essential
  • Developed different learning and development modalities and assets including film, animation, e-learning and classroom is essential
  • Adapted learning and development for different business environments and /or locations and / or cultures is essential
  • Worked with subject experts and vendors to deliver learning
  • Experience of project management and co-ordinating delivery through others
  • Experience of working in a large matrix organisation, ideally international
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships including senior stakeholders
  • Experience of managing the end-to-end learning solution lifecycle
  • Deployment of large-scale complex projects.

The base location for this role is flexible in the UK with regular travel to 8 Canada Square to connect in person.
